Social Media Intern at Ajenda Public Relations Portfolio Work

As a Social Media Intern for Ajenda Public Relations in the summer of 2023, I wrote copy for Instagram posts and stories and designed graphics for the social platform on Canva. I worked on several client accounts in the Restaurant and Hospitality Sector, and closely followed the brand guidelines for each account to create coherent posts and plan social media feeds months in advance.

Evergreen Instagram Posts for Clients

For four of the client accounts I worked on, I was tasked with using Canva to create evergreen posts that would be posted to the Instagram accounts of each client. I had to follow strict brand guidelines for each account and researched national holidays while creating clever puns and plays on words to design engaging content for each post. Here are a couple of examples of the dozens I created.

Instagram Stories for Clients

For two of the client accounts I worked on, I was tasked with using Canva to create Instagram story posts. I followed brand guidelines for each account and researched national holidays while creating clever puns and plays on words to design engaging content for each post, similar to the evergreen posts I created for other client accounts.

Weekly Repeated Tasks

For two client accounts, I used Canva templates to create weekly graphics that would be used to update client websites and email subscriptions.

Weekly Mobile Menu Graphic Example

This is an example of one of the weekly mobile menu graphics I was tasked with creating for one of our clients, Brunos, an Italian Restaurant. Each week I would have to communicate with my advisor to gather the weekend special menu item information, and then convert the info into copy that fits well into the Canva template. Then, I would have to use WordPress to upload the menu to the client's website at the start of each week.

Weekly Email Weekend Specials Graphic

Here is an example of one of the weekly email menu graphics I was tasked with creating for our client, Brunos. Each week I would format the copy used for the weekend specials menu into the Canva template for the email. Then, I would use ConstantContact to convert the menu into an email format, add the appropriate links to the client’s website on the email, update the subject line and properly schedule the weekly emails to all of our client's subscribers.

I was also tasked with creating relevant and relatable memes for the AjendaPR Instagram account. Below are the graphics I designed and the captions I wrote.
